Just When I Thought All The Christmas Shopping Was All Done…

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

Spotted this deer little thing in a dusty old antique shop along the North Wales coast, peeping out at me under layers of glassware, comics and 80s gold encrusted brooches…

So pleased to bring her home with me, cleaned up using an old soft toothbrush and now she hangs sparkerling looking over me in my hallway mirror.

My Christmas deer.

Make-it Friday!

Friday, December 18th, 2009

In honour of the 2 Fridays left of this year (one of them being Christmas Yay!) I’ve decided to start my routine for 2010 early… or is it perhaps a very late start to my 2009 regime?!

Each and every Friday I shall be posting my “Make-its” Feel free to comment, add suggestions or post links to your projects!

These items are just for fun but some just might make the cut for the shop… lets see what happens.

We had lots of fun, but  looking full of concentration here on the task in hand…

The full project & how to to follow for my Cabbage Christmas Wreath & Gold n Green Bow Twist Wreath!

Handmade Soap at Extinct Design

something to get your teeth into...

The Soapsicles have landed! Yay! What a totally delightful way to start the day, cheery Mr Postman brought me my sweet smelling tasty bath treats! I took no time in getting them online and quick as a flash ran round to my friends for a cuppa as we try to decide which one’s we liked the best!! Hee hee (jury’s still out on that one but I do have a soft spot for the Candy Carousel they are just my colours ya know?)

There is so much choice on flavours from crisp minty scents to soft bubblegums and candyfloss….but don’t spend too long deciphering which one, best course of action : make a firm positive choices and actions (phew its tough out there)

All soaps are SLS free and all fragrance oils are phthalate free. In other words – no funny stuff!

window shopping

window shopping

Spent a lovely night over at my friends fair-trade coffee shop, window dressing with some lovely new items and Christmas decorations from extinct. We had the help of little Jacob (elf in training) who was overseeing all important artistic decisions from which colour pegs to use to what sweets to stuff in the nordic cones!! Yum!

Jacob’s Ladder Coffee shop can be found in the pretty Cathedral city of St. Asaph, North Wales, possibly one of the smallest cities in the world, I’m just starting my extinct take-over one city at a time!
