Designer: Plum Pretty Sugar

Fashion and home has been a little bit prettier since Charlotte Mills introduced her Plum Pretty Sugar brand of loungerie in 2009.
Charlotte was born in the UK before moving to sunny Southern California as a little girl. She studied at Pepperdine and USC for Communication and Business while also acquiring a degree in Fashion Merchandising. She entered the world of business with Balance Bar Company and Kraft Foods before beginning her own wholesale business in luxury beauty and on the retail front with a brick and mortar boutique. Life changes and a stroke of lovely inventiveness awoke Charlotte one morning with the bohemian-chic and whimsically-wise Plum Pretty Sugar concept. And sewing!
Since its launch, Plum Pretty Sugar loungerie has been dressing fashion lovers and homes with its charming, boho pieces. When not dreaming her next style or print, this jill-of-all-trades hits the beach, and a bookstore or two, with her sweetest-ever Australian Shepards in tow, Nellie Belle and Charlie Brown.
It just goes to show, you can quit your day job—especially if you’ve got as much up your sleeve as Charlotte does.
Charlotte’s loves:
> efficiency + indulgence.
> barefeet + heels.
> everyone’s success.
> bookstores + farmers market tuberose.
> good design + the color of nature.
> the ocean + the human body.
> laughter that pours out and over.
> eastern religion + the fine arts.
> culture that isn’t my own.
