I love Vérité Vintage. Some seriously cool vintage finds from the friendliest of folk.
I simply love the selection, sparklery 70s tops, pretty orange camis and an effing necklace! What more do you want?
I recently won this pretty silver locket from Vérité Vintage’s facebook page! Make sure you add her to your friends/fan pages for updates and latest looks!

Exciting News!!
I’m the sparkly brand new Branch Director and Host of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School in North Wales!!
Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School is the little New York art event that has become the world’s premier alt.drawing movement. Started in 2005 by artist Molly Crabapple, the concept is simple. Artist’s draw glamorous burlesque dancers, compete in contests, and win wacky prizes. From it’s humble Brooklyn beginnings, Dr. Sketchy’s now has over 100 branches around the globe, including Los Angeles, London, Paris, Rome, Tokyo, and Melbourne.
When many artists think “life drawing,” they think of sterile rooms, bad lighting, and bored, silent, models with nary a hint of personality. Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School North Wales is here to change all that.
As most of you are aware who visit this blog know I love to fuse art & fashion, creative costumes & comedy in my work and Dr. Sketchy’s will bring all this to life!

WHOOooooooHOOoooooooo!
I was so incredibly excited to receive a postcard from The Time Lord himself!!! I practically “Whhoooooooooooohoooooooo”ed the place down when it arrived this weekend!
Look you can tell he wrote the address on the envelope too!
Want to see what I sent him? Check out my Bow Ties are Cool post.

This months MUST HAVE is this Poolside glamour goddess sarong!
I love this colour combination, unmistakably vintage. Extra Large too, which is great to cover up on the beach or by the pool ~ wouldn’t look out of place walking around the local shops on your holidays too!
Made from water-resistant fabric, originally from Hawaii!
If that isn’t the coolest already… I’ve giving away these vintage sunnies FREE with this July Must-Have!!

Money can’t buy you cla…ass!
Anyone whos been watching the Real Housewives of NYC will of course be having a fabulous time (I’m totally addicted, it is for me the very best telly since Jem & the Holograms – and thats saying a lot.)
Although I’ve had my favourite moments with all of them – I do find myself checking out Countess LuAnn’s clothing and accessories more than the others… they have a distinct French feel about them..
Chunky jewelry and no fuss dresses makes for a classy look.
It just so happens the Extinct Vintage Jewelry section has a number of very LuAnn like adornments – JUST IN!

Fabulous Gil Elvgren Showing us just how cute and sexy hula girls can be
Amazing Alberto Vargas stunning hawiian goddess picture
Gil Elvgren the master Pin-Up artist, I always imagine him and Vargas as friends sharing their love of beauty and female curves. All the women in the pictures look like they are having great fun, feeling empowered, sexy, not at all a victim of the men’s stare… I do so wonder how some women today feel unease with pin-up, burlesque and the like – for me it appears the women the are the ones in control and having a great time! It feels great to feel fabulous both in and out of your clothes and whenever you’ve got the chance to flaunt it – DO IT!

Parisian Fashion designer Baptiste Viry has got me all hot under the collar with these stunning drop bow, bow-ties…
I love his clever use of mixing and re-using vintage items to create his designs!!
I’ve sort of gone into shock – but also feeling very inspired…
